FAQ
1. What kinds of neck and sleep issues do customers come to Kanuda with?
- Most customers come to us after everyday struggles: morning neck and shoulder stiffness, all-day tension, tension headaches, tossing and turning, waking through the night, and "tech neck" from desk work—often after trying memory foam, feather, adjustable, and other one-sized fits all pillows without finding real support.
Others are managing more specific conditions and want better nightly support: degenerative disc disease, bulging or protruding discs, pinched nerves and tingling in the arms or hands, cervical stenosis, arthritis, forward-head posture, cervical facet syndrome, hypermobility and EDS, cervical vertigo, and recovery from car-accident and other neck injuries. Many are also side or back sleepers who couldn't find a pillow that filled the gap between ear and shoulder or kept their head from tipping forward.
2. What improvements do customers notice after switching to Kanuda?
- After adjusting to Kanuda, the improvements customers most often share with us are waking with far less neck and shoulder stiffness, fewer headaches, less nighttime tossing and turning, deeper and more uninterrupted sleep, reduced tingling and tension, and better-supported side and back sleeping—simply feeling more rested and aligned in the morning.
Every person is different, and Kanuda works best as part of healthy sleep and posture habits. But for many customers, finding their right-fit pillow has made a meaningful difference in how they sleep and how they wake up.
3. How long is the adjustment period, really?
- Kanuda supports your neck in a way most pillows don't, so it can feel firm or unfamiliar at first. Most customers adapt within one to three weeks, and many tell us the support was well worth the wait. If you're still adjusting after that, contact us—it's often a small placement or height tweak.
4. Can I sleep on my side—and how should I position myself?
- Yes—Kanuda supports both back and side sleeping. The taller outer zones fill the space between your ear and shoulder to keep your neck aligned. When side sleeping, rest your head in the raised outer zone rather than the center contour; it can take a few nights to find your spot. Our Tensegrity Foam holds its support all night, so you won't sink flat by morning.
5. Should I use the height pad?
- We recommend starting without it. If you have broader shoulders or a taller frame—or want a little more height, especially when side sleeping—you can place the included height pad under or inside the pillow. Start low, and add only if you need it.
