I look forward to lying on my Kanuda pillow every night! I have diagnosed cervical facet syndrome in joints C3 through C6, which for me causes chronic pain through neck spasms that radiate down into my shoulders and upper back. My initial injury happened in a car accident 9 years ago and wouldn't respond to repeated courses of physical therapy over the years. The only effective treatment my pain doctor and I have found is radiofrequency ablation of my facet joint nerves-- and apparently, this pillow! To be clear, the pillow doesn't replace my RFA procedures, but it lets me go a few months longer between them, which lowers my risk. I now refuse to travel without the Kanuda travel pillow, which is also amazing, but I have to admit, I look forward to getting back on my heavenly-soft Piano Air after a trip. I'm a back and side sleeper, so the larger side wings on this pillow make it even cozier. When I lie on this pillow at the end of the day, I can actually feel my neck and shoulders slowly relax and release as the OCBR support takes the pressure off my stressed, inflamed facet joints. I always start the night on my back to take advantage of that release process, but my neck is still comfortably supported when I inevitably roll onto my side.
